ALOR STAR: The Pakatan-led Kedah government said that it has implemented 80 percent of their election manifesto and was on track in meeting its electorates needs.
State Executive councillor Siti Aishah Ghazali, said the government had met its target earlier than scheduled.
“We have been in government for 24 months and have already carried out 80 percent of what we promised in our election manifesto. We will continue with our focus of being a caring people-centric government, “ she said.
Siti Aishah’s comments follows PAS spirit leader Dato Nik Aziz Abdul Nik Mat call , last Saturday, urging all Pakatan leaders to “deliver the goods as promised.”
He reminded the Pakatan-led states to avoid unhealthy practices like “cah keting” (internal sabotaging), cronyism and corruption, which were strongly linked to the Barisan nasional governments.
Over the weekend, Pakatan’s Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim had also said that the state administration was more focussed on administrating the state and meeting the people’s need and less on strategising ways to counter-attack the BN’s innumerable attempts to oust the state government.
The Harakahdaily reported Siti Aishah as saying that it is now proven that Pakatan had the capability of administrating its states and was “more able to lead with care than the UMNO and Barisan National government.”
