Migrant Care adalah Perhimpunan Indonesia untuk Buruh Migran Berdaulat (Member of Migrant Forum in Asia and International NGO Platform on Migrant Workers' Convention) yang beralamat di Jl. Pulo Asem I C No 15 RT 015 RW 001 Jati, Jakarta Timur 13220 Indonesia.

Pengakuan Robengah

Anwar tak kata Lim Kit Siang calon TPM Pakatan Rakyat?

20 Muharram 1432H.
Subky Latif

SAYA tanya Tian Chua, Naib Presiden PKR yang baru, “Bagaimana Anwar boleh menamakan Kit Siang sebagai calon Timbalan Perdana Menteri Pakatan?”

Jawab Tian Chua bahawa Anwar tidak mencalonkan sesiapa. Dia ditanya media tentang siapa TPM kiranya Pakatan Rakyat memenangi pilihan raya nanti.

Kata Tian Chua, Anwar tidak menyebut nama sesiapa. “Sesiapa pun boleh.”

Dia ditanya lagi, adakah seorang bukan Melayu boleh jadi Timbalan Perdana Menteri?

Anwar dikatakan menjawab, “Tidak ada masalah.”

Dan ditanya lagi, bagaimana dengan Kit Siang.

Apa Anwar hendak kata?

Apa dia hendak kata?

Selama-lamanya Barisan Nasional terutama Umno menyuruh rakyat bertanya, Siapa Perdana Menteri kalau pembangkang menang?

Datuk Asrilah. Kemudian, Yusof Rawalah dan Fadzil Noorlah.

DAP pula memikirkan Lim Kit Siangnya.

Semasa Tengku Razaleigh tidak menyertai Umno (Baru) dalam PRU 1990 dulu, Semangat 46 mencadangkan Tengku Razaleigh sebagai calon Perdana Menteri. Tetapi PAS diam saja.

A case for Selcat: RM2 firm gets rich contract

By B Nantha Kumar

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government has awarded a contract to a previously unknown RM2 company to build nine blocks of high-rise buildings in Section 52, Petaling Jaya, on the site currently occupied by PKNS, sources have told FMT.

They said the state gave the contract to Puncak Wangi Sdn Bhd without calling for tenders.

They allege that the company is associated with PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and suggest that it is a case for the Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) to investigate.

A FMT reporter went to the site and saw a notice indicating that the plan is to build four office blocks, two hotel blocks and two service-apartment blocks.

A source claimed that Azmin allegedly pressured Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim to award the contract to Puncak Wangi.

According to records at the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Puncak Wangi was registered on Sept 25, 1995 under the names of S Vasanthi and Cheong Yoke Ling. SSM documents indicate that they lived in the same house in Taman Tan Yew Lai.

However, a week after the registration, Vasanthi and Cheong resigned as directors and were replaced by Nurulhaini Rosli of Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Mahinder Kaur Teja Singh of Ulu Kelang and Zubaidah Ahmad Tajuddin of Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.

In 2005, Nurulhaini and Mahinder Kaur resigned and were replaced by Mohd Azrin Mohd Barrier and Krushiah Ali Mohamed. Zubaidah is no longer a director, but there is no record of her resignation.

Of Puncak Wangi’s 200,000 shares, Mohd Azrin holds 10,000 and Krushiah 5,000. The rest belongs to Gapurna Sdn Bhd, a family company headed by millionaire Mohd Salim Fateh Din.

A check with the Selangor Land and Mines Office revealed that Mohd Salim also owns Bisraya Construction Sdn Bhd, which placed a caveat on the PKNS land in May last year.

The registered addresses of Puncak Wangi, Gapurna and Bisraya are all at Kelana Brem Tower in Kelana Jaya. And the three companies share one secretary by the name of Gong Lu Kew.

A PKR leader in Kelana Jaya told FMT that Azmin was known to have an interest in developing PKNS land for commercial purposes.

He also said that after the 2008 general election, many of the big contractors who used to support BN switched their allegiance to Pakatan.

He said he and several associates had tried to solve the mystery behind Puncak Wangi by checking on the backgrounds of Mohd Azri and Krushiah.

“We found they are not prominent figures,” he said. “They don’t even seem to have enough money to buy nice cars. They use only Satria and Kancil.

"Where does their money go? Who makes profits by using their name? I hope Selcat can reveal the mystery behind the contract."

Sarawak opposition launches anti-Taib video

Mahkamah bebas peguam Rosli Dahlan

http://media1.malaysiakini.com/308/23a60a10eeaa9795ec988a8301162899.gif

Is this the type of AG we want?

The IGP has been kicked out. The AG, however, is still in office. In spite of all his wrongdoings coming to the attention of the public he is still around. See the evidence below where the AG instructed a doctor to fabricate a medical report to say that Anwar Ibrahim’s injury in 1998 was either due to a fall or was self-inflicted. This report was subsequently hidden and not shown to the Royal Commission of Inquiry. Is this the type of AG that we want?

Jalil IbrahimA tale of lies, deceit, fraud and cold-blooded murder set against the backdrop of one of Hong Kong’s biggest bank scandals

In the monsoons of July, 1983, the body of a young male is discovered with a towelling cord around his neck, in the overgrown plantations of Hong Kong’s New Territories. No wallet, no ID… just a Malaysian coin caught in the lining of his trousers. The Police have no idea who he is or even how he got there. It takes them 24 hours to get an ID on the dead man - Jalil Ibrahim, a young banker with Malaysia’s Bank of Bumiputra on a business trip to Hong Kong. He was reported missing by a colleague the previous day.

The Police don’t know have much to go on, until they stumble upon the banker’s personal diaries and letters. They reveal a troubled state of mind and suggest that the banker may have been onto something big. As the Police study his correspondence, they begin to suspect that Jalil may have discovered fatal secrets - financial irregularities and dangerous liaisons which if revealed could not only threaten his life but also destroy his bank and compromise his country. And in all probability, Jalil’s fears had come true – the banker had been silenced before he could blow the whistle. The banker knew too much.

But what did he know and why was he murdered for it? What was he investigating? Who did he meet in Hong Kong? When and where was he last seen alive? Why did he fear for his life? Was he being blackmailed? What were his last words? How high were the stakes? Will the mystery ever really be truly solved?

The murder of an honest banker, Jalil Ibrahim is revisited 27 years later through various key persons involved with the case across 3 countries – Hong Kong (China), Malaysia and South Korea. The lead investigator - a Senior British Inspector of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force; a Commercial Crimes Specialist; a Senior Crime Reporter who tracked the story from the very beginning; family members in Kuala Lumpur and Jalil’s colleagues at Bank of Bumiputra are some of the key characters who take us through this tale of deceit, intrigue, fraud and murder. Each of their recollections helps take the story just a little further and bit by bit, like the pieces of a puzzle, the final picture emerges. The film will also tracks the fallout of Jalil’s murder – the fall of the Bank of Bumiputra and the crash of Carrian, a real estate company that went down in the record books as HK’s largest bankruptcy case.

You don't have to pay income tax if you do not support BN

YES! That is the message that I understand from the news paper clipping below. DPM Tan Sri MuhyiddinYassin said allocation from EVERYBODY's tax money will only be channeled to BN MP's constituencies only. If my area is under Pakatan Rakyat then why should I pay my income tax? Just get the BN supporters pay their income tax as only BN MP's could enjoy it!

What is our DPM trying to tell the people? Is he saying if you want the money then vote BN? But what I understand is he is telling is that BN is a very unfair party with narrow minded leaders. Do you want him to be our next PM? I don't think so!

For Muslims, we can channel our income tax to Zakat, atleast it will be in safer hands. But for non-Muslim, what alternatives do they have? Don't pay your income tax and the face legal actions? Hmm... very clever BN government! But their mind are very short sighted, they only take one thing at a time and do not plan and forecast its long term effect. In long term, the policy will just kill them! and that is really good for the opposition! Thank you Tan Sri!

****************************************

(The Star) - Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has shot down a request that the Federal Government extend development funds to Opposition MPs.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the funds were only meant for small projects in Barisan Nasional MP’s constituencies.

“They use it to finance small projects, like roads.

“It is only allocated to Government MPs ... the Barisan MPs,” he said in a press conference after opening the 36th annual general conference of the Peninsular Malaysia Federation of Penghulu and Penggawa here yesterday.

He said providing the funds to Barisan MPs had been a practice of the Federal Government and there was no intention to extend it to Opposition MPs.

Muhyiddin was responding to a request from Selangor Exco Dr Yaakob Safari that the allocation be given to Opposition MPs as well.

Dr Yaakob, who was representing Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim at the function, said Opposition MPs should also enjoy the allocation as they were elected by the people.

“I would like to ask the Deputy Prime Minister to bring this matter to the attention of the Prime Minister’s Office.

“The Federal Government should be fair in its treatment including extending the allocation to all states ruled by Pakatan Rakyat,” he said when reading Khalid’s speech.

At this juncture, the delegates, numbering about 300, started to jeer Dr Yaakob.

He however continued reading from his text which criticised the Federal Government including the formation of the village security and development committee.

Muhyiddin said the Federal Government continued to channel development allocations to states that it lost in the 2008 General Election.

Selangor, for example, though it is already a developed state, the Federal Government still provides allocations.

“That is why we have Datuk Ghani (Salleh, Federal Secretary in Selangor) here to ensure the money is spent properly.

“The important thing is the rakyat benefits from the funds.

“If we channel it to the Mentri Besar, I wonder how he would spend it,” Muhyiddin said.

"Kemudian diberi satu lagi syarikat. Nama lain. Namanya Komatra Sajian Sdn Bhd, penswastaan perkhidmatan katering Angkatan Tentera bagi zon Utara dan Timur Semenanjung. Nilai RM 600 juta.

"GPB COrporation Sdn Bhd kontrak 1 Jan 2009 nilai RM 300 juta ringgit. Tuan punya, dan alamat daftar pun sama No 10 level 2 Damai Kompleks. Tuan punya, Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, tiada Melayu lain," katanya.

Gaji RM5.1 juta setahun pengerusi Syabas dipertikai

http://media1.malaysiakini.com/304/1ffecf1bcc4b6e2fca8a4df22bfab939.gif

Sedap membaca sejarah ciptaan Dr Mahathir.

Kenapa hanya Anwar dipersoalkan?

********************************************

By Aspan Alias

Penswastaan Air: Mengfaraidkan Harta Orang Ramai

Semuanya berubah apabila dasar penswastaan diperkenalkan.

Semuanya berubah apabila dasar penswastaan diperkenalkan.

Kementerian keewangan mengeluarkan pink form.

The Petronas poltergeist

This never happened. TSHM is a man of dignity. Four months later he was happily working in Singapore and the Singapore fellas were laughing at their Malaysian brothers and how stupid they had become in such a short space of time.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Deep Throat Bukit Aman

Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican joined Petronas on the 2nd February 1989 as the Senior Vice President of Finance. He left Petronas on the 10th February 2010 as President and CEO -- almost 21 years to the day of dedicated service to the country.

Tan Sri Hassan Marican now works for the Singapore Government -- SembCorp to be precise, as Non-Executive Director. This company is controlled by the Singapore Government’s investment arm, Temasek Holdings.

By the way, the Chairman of Temasek Holdings is a gentleman by the name of Mr. S. Dhanabalan. Not only is he just a low life ‘Mister’ but an Indian fella as well. Unheard of in our neck of the woods. Hindraf should go down to Singapore and take some notes.

So we lost TSHM to the Singaporeans. This is another typical example of the massive brain drain going on. Only this time they really caught a big fish. Probably the biggest catch in a very long time.

Why?

Why was it necessary for TSHM to resign (or forced to resign or sacked or fired or whatever)?

It is obvious he can still work. It is obvious his grey matter is still functioning properly otherwise there would be no way Singapore would employ him.

Is it Proton EMAS or Lotus CityCar?

Should we be proud of it if it is Lotus who developed it?

http://www.treehugger.com/lotus-city-car-phev-photo-04.jpg

I read an article in the November 2010 Top Gear magazine on Lotus Engineering (under Proton) developing an F1 car. There is even a picture of it in the magazine. Remember this has nothing to do with the Lotus F1 Team that is competing in 2010 F1 Series.

If you are aware there is court case filed in London between Lotus F1 Team (Tony Fernandez) versus Lotus Engineering (under Proton) for the right to use Lotus name in F1 2011 Race. This triggered me to visit the official grouplotus.com website to get more info on the F1 car developed by Lotus Engineering (Proton). But I found out another thing!

Referring to the images above, I have a question "Is it Proton Emas or a make over of a Lotus City Car?" If it is developed by Lotus, then admit so... there is nothing wrong, but trying to create an impression that Malaysians built Proton Emas is another story. If it is true, then Malaysians won't be proud of it, not because it is built by Lotus, but because Proton lied to us yet hoping that we will die supporting Proton which is the reason why Malaysians have to pay more for a car compared to other neighboring countries.

Last night, I watched an interview with Proton's Managing Director,  Dato' Haji Syed Zainal Abidin B Syed Mohamed Tahir on Astro Awani's 10pm Sudut Pandang, he proudly claim that Proton is ready for a paradigm shift. Is it true? or indah khabar daripada rupa? It is good if it is true, we all should be proud of it,  hoping one day Malaysian can get rid of the high car price because of the government wants to protect Proton. I was really impressed when I watched the interview on Astro Awani but it is a total reverse when i read the article below. As a Malaysian, I am now confused!

PROTON Emas drivetrain
(http://www.lotuscars.com/engineering/en/proton-emas-drivetrain)

Lotus Engineering designed and integrated the complete drivetrain for the the PROTON Emas is a plug-in series hybrid city car, styled by Italdesign and unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

Our work included an electrical drive system with single-speed transmission, which delivers low emissions, optimised performance and acceptable electric-only operating range for city use. For longer journeys, when the battery charge level falls, the 3 cylinder, 1.2 litre Lotus Range Extender engine is used to replenish the charge in the battery and provide electrical power for the drive motors.

The battery can also be recharged via an AC mains domestic outlet to achieve initial electric-only operation.

LOTUS RANGE EXTENDER ENGINE
The three-cylinder 1.2 litre Range Extender engine is optimised between two power generation points, giving 15 kW of electrical power at 1,500 rpm and 35 kW at 3,500 rpm via the integrated electrical generator. Its low mass of 56 kg and compact package makes it ideal for the series hybrid drivetrain in the Proton Concept.

BATTERY PACK
The vehicle energy storage system is made up of 11.5 kWH Lithium Polymer batteries with over 100 kW discharge capability. It includes fusing, power distribution and high voltage interlock safety system hardware.

GENERATOR
The generator converts mechanical energy to electrical energy for battery pack charge maintenance and vehicle range extension. The generator is also used as a motor for range extender engine starting. It has a power of 41 kW 280-420 VDC generator and starter motor for the range extender engine.

HIGH VOLTAGE INVERTER - GENERATOR
The high voltage inverter converts and controls the three phase voltage from the generator to DC voltage to charge the battery and run the traction motor.

TRACTION MOTOR
The traction motor provides 75 kW peak and 45 kW continuous power with a 280-420 VDC motor. The motor converts electrical energy to provide mechanical energy to the driven wheels through the transmission.

HIGH VOLTAGE INVERTER -
TRACTION MOTOR
The high voltage inverter traction motor converts DC voltage to three phase voltage.

GEARBOX/TRANSMISSION
The Proton Concept uses a single-speed transmission with an integrated differential.

HIGH VOLTAGE CHARGER
The high voltage charger converts AC mains power to high voltage DC to charge the battery pack. It produces 3.3 kW, with 90-265V AC single phase with CAN control.

DC - DC CONVERTER
The DC-DC Converter maintains charge in the 12V vehicle battery by taking power from the high voltage battery pack. It is the electric vehicle equivalent of the alternator and converts 1.5 kW of power from 420V to 13.8V.

VEHICLE CONTROLLER
The vehicle controller is a microprocessor that controls the throttle, torque, power and energy management and is the same T6e engine management software as used on the Lotus Evora.

Instant Iban millionaires a nightmare for Taib

KUCHING: If Pakatan Rakyat coalition comes to power, Ibans can become instant millionaires! And that will be Chief Minister Taib Mahmud's worst nightmare.

All this is possible if PKR's plan to set up a Land Commission in Sarawak in its fight to return native customary rights (NCR) land to the people and compel oil palm giants to surrender the lands leased to them by the state to the natives materialises.

A small innocuous report headline "PKR to form Land Commission soon" in a local daily over the weekend has fired the imagination of locals.

Does a “millionaire Iban community” sound far-fetched?

Raja Melayu perlu awasi 'Si Kitol'

Make AG Gani Patail Explain or Make him Resign

by Din Merican
On  November 24, Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK)’s blog, Malaysia-Today, posted an article entitled “Taking the Good Lord for a ride” about  Attorney General (A-G) Tan Sri Gani Patail and  Shahidan Shafie, who is Tajuddin  Ramli’s proxy, doing the Haj pilgrimage together, like a family, in Makkah.

Gani Patail and Family and Shahidan Shafie in Makkah

RPK  also produced Tabung Haji’s documents which showed that A-G Gani Patail and his family (his Puan Sri and son) and Shahidan have the same booking reference, the same Haj package, the same travel itinerary, the same listing – as if they are part of the same family.

I was startled at first upon reading that article. I thought that could all just be a coincidence. That RPK, as he is often accused of, was just conjecturing. That RPK was embellishing an innocent fact. After all, there are hundreds of thousands of Malaysian Muslims who go to Haj annually. After all, as Muslims, we are not supposed to be suspicious of other Muslim’s motives and intentions. We are supposed to “berniat baik dan beringat baik” (good intentions and good thoughts), especially towards the Hajis and the Hajjahs (male and female Haj pilgrims).

A human tide of pilgrims in the Mina valley carrying bags of pebbles to symbolically stone Satan on the third day of the Haj, as Muslims worldwide marked the Eid festival.

So I told myself not to be jaundiced about this revelation by RPK. I told myself to analyse the facts objectively before coming to any conclusions. So let’s be objective. What are the facts that we already know?

Two Police Reports lodged against Tajuddin Ramli by MAS
I tracked Malaysia Today’s series on The Untold MAS Story: Part 1 to 10 and discovered that this is what we should already  know and that is, during Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli’s time as Executive Chairman of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), the national airlines suffered losses in excess of RM8 billion, no small money by any measure. We are aware that Dr Mohamadon Abdullah and Dato’ JJ Ong of MAS had lodged two police reports alleging various breaches and fraud by Tajudin Ramli. It is known to us that the A-G Chambers had directed the police case to be NOD (No Offence Disclosed) and the file was thus closed.

PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub claimed that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) jeopardised the investigation into the RM8 billion losses suffered by MAS more than 10 years ago.

MAS initially lost Arbitration Case
We know that because of the collusion between the Police and the A-G Chambers, MAS initially lost an arbitration case in relation to MAS’s termination of a 10 years cargo handling contract with a German company called ACL GmbH (ACL) following Tajudin’s departure from MAS in 2001. ACL had insisted that MAS should perform that contract although it almost bankrupted MAS. ACL then claimed Euro 63 million (RM300 million) against MAS, although MAS claimed that the contract favoured Tajudin’s family companies. The European Arbitration Panel took a simple position. They couldn’t be bothered to help a Malaysian national company if the Malaysian authorities themselves want to cover up the case.

Dato’ Seri Idris Jala as Managing Director of MAS had sought the assistance of Dato’ Ramli Yusuff, then Director of Commercial Crimes Investigations Dept (CCID), to re-open the investigations.

Corruption scandal breaks over Malaysian UNESCO World Heritage Site

Royal Mulu Hotel - Chief Minister owns shares in this state-funded enterprise

Sarawak Report can reveal that the Chief Minister, Abdul Taib Mahmud, has a major personal shareholding in Sarawak’s highly controversial  Royal Mulu Resort,  a project that has received huge injections of cash from the State.  This means that, as both Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Taib has authorised the diversion of large sums of public money straight into his own pocket.

As State Resources and Planning Minister, Taib was also responsible for the forced acquisition of a large area of Native Customary Lands from the indigenous Berawan tribe to build the resort, for which the tribespeople received virtually no compensation.  Our evidence therefore further exposes him for having authorised this land-snatch for his own direct benefit.

His shareholding is in a company that was incorporated as recently as November 2007, Mesti Bersatu Sdn Bhd.  This in turn has a 50% shareholding of the Taib/Mahmud family company Kenyalang Cergas, one of the main shareholders of Borsamulu Resorts Bhd (BRSB).  BRSB was handed the ownership and lucrative management contract for what was once a state-owned National Park, thanks to a series of decisions by Taib’s own government starting in 1991.  The management contract is paid for by the taxpayer!

In the money! - a decade ago the Geneids had nothing, now they are the toast of Malaysia's Tatler Ball 2010!

The other major beneficiaries and shareholders of the Royal Mulu Resort are members of his family, including his sister Raziah, her third husband Robert Geneid and the family of his late brother Arip Mahmud.  Taib Mahmud has personally  accused the Berawan people of being “greedy” for refusing to hand over their lands for ‘development’.  Their peaceful protests in the 1990s were brutally put down by army and police and their leaders were imprisoned.   Deprived of their territories, these communities are now impoverished and hungry and few people, apart from the Mahmud family, will have difficulty in discerning where the true greed lies.

This time it’s on record
The significance of this official confirmation of the Chief Minister’s own shareholding lies in the fact that Taib has normally sought to disguise his acquisitions and shareholdings in an attempt to avoid widespread allegations of corruption.  He habitually uses members of his own family to hold shares on his behalf.  Thus, the names of his many brothers and sisters, his late wife, his four children, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws are prominent as key shareholders in most of Sarawak’s important businesses.

PKR polls: Proof of phantom voters in Kota Raja

By B Nantha Kumar

FMT EXCLUSIVE KLANG: From the onset, the PKR polls has been plagued with allegations of fraud. And now, new evidence has emerged of phantom voters in one of the party's biggest divisions.

In the Kota Raja division's electoral list furnished to FMT, there were some 150 “dubious” names. The division has nearly 8,000 members.

A check revealed that names and addresses of voters had been duplicated with only two digits of their MyKad numbers changed.
Even the name of Kota Raja division head and state exco Dr Xavier Jayakumar's daughter, Sangetha, appeared twice on the list.

Her party membership number was listed as B200002602 while her MyKad number was 830303-07-5820. The same name appeared again, with the party membership number B200002460 and MyKad number 830303-07-5020.

While there was no address listed for the first Sangetha, the subsequent mention of her name had the following address: No 6, Jln Serunai 14 Taman Klang Jaya. The same address appeared for Jayakumar on the electoral list.

In another case, the name Sivanesan s/o Ramalu appeared three times with the party membership numbers -- B200002995, B200003108 and B200003843.
While all three had the same address -- 37, Jalan 41 Kawasan 3, Taman Klang Jaya, Klang -- there were minor differences in the MyKad numbers: 691004-10-6749, 691004-19-6749 and 691004-10-6745.

Despite the name Sivanesan denoting that it was a male, the list had cited him as female twice.

First she's Indian, then Malay

Another case of duplication was Nur Sakinah Abdullah. In the first mention of her name, she was cited as an Indian. Her party membership number was B200005529 and MyKad number 580324-10-5014. Her address was stated as 13A, Block 3Q, Jalan Iklim 25/83, Taman Sri Muda.

In the second instance, where she was cited as a Malay, Sakinah's membership number was B200007137 and MyKad number 851016-14-5454. Her address was13A Block 3Q,Jalan Sabah 25/83, Taman Sri Muda.

However, a check revealed that there was no Jalan Sabah in Taman Sri Muda.

Party sources claimed that these suspicious entries proved the existence of phantom voters in the PKR election.

The party cannot just dismiss these discrepancies as typing errors, because there are just too many names which have been duplicated.

“The differences in MyKad numbers, addresses and the spelling of fathers' names were done deliberately to confuse the central election committee,” said a division leader, who declined to be named.

He alleged that certain quarters had manipulated the polls to ensure victory for themselves.

The Kota Raja division polls, held last month, was mired in controversy after Jayakumar was alleged to have used dirty tactics to win the division chairman's post. His challengers also claimed that they have been assaulted by Jayakumar's men.

The dispute had eventually led to a 66-hour delay in confirming the new division chief, with Jayakumar's rivals accusing the party's election committee and secretariat siding with the state exco member.
