
Speaking to reporters in the Parliament lobby today, he acknowledged that the arrest was a step in the right direction but said he was worried that it might be another tactic to cover up the full extent of the PKFZ scandal as in the case of the Perwaja steel plant.
“Like in the Perwaja case, the arrest is a small beginning, but the big sharks are yet to be caught,” he said. “Hopefully, it is not to erase the PKFZ scandal.”
Anwar said the scandal should not be closed until all the culprits were brought to book.

DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang said the initial arrests represented only a small piece of a larger picture of the scandal.
He said Barisan Nasional needed strong political will to settle the scandal.
” Otherwise, the government will only be scratching the surface of the scandal, no more than that,” he said
